The list is huge but I would rather keep it practical, short and set priorities I can easily concentrate on for the year 2012, beginning from today. There are five main factors in my life that I would like to concentrate in 2012. This year is going to be an important year for me for several reasons that you will find out below.
1 – My first priority is to have more discipline in my life that means getting up daily on time, proper breakfast, lunch, dinner, give designated time to work, family and friends and arranging daily tasks properly. I am not a sort of guy who plan years ahead but would certainly set weekly priorities and will be analysing it every week what has been achieved, missed or still pending and that requires a disciplined lifestyle.
2 – Secondly, I will have to work smarter at iLead. It has been fourteen months since iLead was launched. I have built a decent customer base, dedicated team to help me grow and the most important factor is I have managed to survive in the first year. Being smarter means concentrating only on valuable customers (not all customers are valuable at least in the short term), loyal employees and providing quality solutions. The team and revenue is expected to be increased by 300% by the end of 2012. I will reveal the results on 31st December 2012.
3 – I have been concentrating on my career for several years. Most of my time is spent in front of my computer screen on learning, developing and enhancing my skills. Since I began Executive MBA in September 2008, I sort of dropped all the physical activities. Although I completed my MBA in September 2010 but my lifestyle still hasn’t changed for years. I eat a lot of junk food, smoke occasionally and hardly walk. I will be spending 30 minutes daily in the gym from tomorrow. My current weight is 115 KG and I am aiming to bring it down to 70 kg in 2012. If I hit the gym at least four times a week and start eating healthy then it is achievable otherwise I will probably grow up to 150 kg giant balloon by the end of 2012. The good news is that I have a nice gym in my house and the bad news is that it is extremely boring and difficult to persuade myself to go in, turn the lights and music on and begin the workout alone. Well, I will publish the results in December 2012.
4 – I hardly gave time to my family, relatives and friends last year. Most of time was spent in office or probably watching useless dramas or movies after work till I am dead tired at night and then I have to crawl to my room to sleep. I will leave office on time and allocate weekends to family, relatives, friends and fixing stuff at home. I hope I can keep up to that on every weekend.
5 – Finally I think it’s time to settle down. Let’s see if I can find my soul mate, oh sorry i mean life partner this year and probably get married by the end of 2012. I know I am being highly optimistic on that. Let’s see if I will be able to show you my wedding pictures in December 2012 or rewrite this resolution in my 2013 list.
My Journey on these resolutions begins from tomorrow, 2nd January 2012 Monday. Wish me Good Luck.
